Laser lacrimal duct patency restoration by CM Mavit
Our portfolio company, CM Mavit, introduced a modern method of lacrimal duct patency restoration – laser dacryocystorhinostomy (LDCR/laser DCR). The procedure is performed in a hospital in Katowice. It involves the use of a laser to remove bone adjacent to the nasolacrimal sac and incorporating the lacrimal sac with the lateral nasal mucosa to bypass the nasolacrimal duct obstruction.
