Royal De Heus merges with Golpasz S.A.
On 1st of March 2021, Royal De Heus completed the acquisition of the Polish compound feed company Golpasz. The transaction has been finalized after approval by the Polish antitrust agency.
The transaction covered entire business activities of Golpasz in the production and sale of animal feed and the farm holding. Golpasz produces almost 500 thousand tons of compound feed annually in four plants. Therefore, after finalizing the transaction the potential of De Heus totals up to nearly 2 million tons of feed produced in 11 modern plants located throughout the country, with the offer supplemented with premixes produced in one of the most modern factories in Europe. This should allow even better and more effective service to Polish breeders and will place De Heus as a leader on the Polish animal feed market.
The merger of De Heus and Golpasz is, most of all, a fusion of experience, knowledge and skills, represented by a total team of over 800 highly qualified specialists. Using the potential resulting from the merger will enable even better fulfillment of expectations of Polish breeders and will make the contribution of both companies to the production of sustainable food and the development of Polish agriculture even more visible. The merger of De Heus and Golpasz will certainly provide farmers with even more attractive offer and an even better level of service.
Eagerly chosen by Polish breeders Golpasz brand has been supporting them on farms for over 50 years. Therefore, the decision was made to keep the Golpasz brand on sale, along with its work philosophy and support methods that have been chosen by customers for years. At the same time, De Heus and Golpasz continue to work on the merger of enterprises within all areas, which will also result in an offer of integration of the most effective products, solutions, nutritional and business tools and forms of consulting, which the companies will present to their clients within next few months.
